Mac Host
Ordering a dedicated physical Mac mini, VNC / SSH / DeskIn connection, administrator access, renewal, expiry and reclamation, and refund rules
A Mac Host is an entire physical Mac mini dedicated to you, with no virtualization; its CPU, memory and disk are used only by your account during the service period. You get a macOS account with administrator rights and can connect remotely over VNC, SSH or DeskIn.
Models and cities
Available chips, memory, storage, cities and stock are shown live on the order page; see the product page for prices. Longer periods are discounted, and the final price is confirmed on the order page.
If the configuration or city you want is not listed, click "Request a Mac" on the order page and enter the chip, memory, disk, country and quantity. You will be emailed when a matching machine is listed or restocked.
Ordering
- Open the Mac Host order page.
- Select the location, model, configuration and period. Models marked out of stock cannot be selected.
- Check the order summary and tick "I understand Mac hosts are special items and orders are non-refundable."
- Click "Buy now" and pay by credit card, Alipay or balance.
- The order enters delivery with the status "Delivering". Delivery time depends on stock for the chosen model and city, and you will be emailed when the machine is ready.
If the order cannot be delivered because of insufficient stock or another reason, it is refunded in full.
Viewing login details
Find the instance under User Center → Mac Hosts and click "Login info". It shows:
- Account: username and password. VNC Screen Sharing and SSH use the same account.
- VNC: the connection address.
- SSH: a ready-to-copy
sshcommand. - DeskIn device ID: provided on some machines.
The list shows active instances by default. Instances more than 7 days past expiry or canceled appear under "Show all instances".
Connecting
VNC from a Mac
- In the login details, click "Connect via Screen Sharing" and allow it when the system asks.
- macOS Screen Sharing logs in to the desktop automatically; if asked, enter the account and password.
You can also connect manually: in Finder press Cmd + K, enter vnc://<address> and connect.
VNC from Windows / Linux
- Install any VNC client, such as RealVNC Viewer.
- Create a connection using the VNC address from the login details.
- Enter the account and password to connect.
SSH
Copy the command from the login details and run it in a terminal. It has this form:
ssh <username>@<address> -p <port>Enter the same account's password to log in. SSH suits scripts, builds and CI jobs, and several people can log in at the same time.
DeskIn
- Download and install the DeskIn client.
- Open DeskIn and enter the device ID from the login details to connect.
- Enter the password when prompted; you then reach the macOS desktop.
Administrator access and developer tools
- The account has administrator (sudo) rights. You can install Xcode, Homebrew and other software and change system settings.
- You can develop and debug in Xcode, run simulators, sign code and upload to App Store Connect / TestFlight. Use your own Apple ID or Apple Developer account for features that need one; you are responsible for that account's security.
- The machine can serve as a macOS build node for GitHub Actions, GitLab Runner or Jenkins.
- macOS and Apple software are governed by Apple's license agreements, and any other software you install must be properly licensed.
So that the machine can be managed and reclaimed, do not:
- set a firmware password;
- enable disk encryption that prevents remote startup;
- erase the system disk;
- remove the remote management configuration.
If any of these makes the machine inaccessible or impossible to reclaim, it is not treated as a service fault; VoyraCloud may suspend the service and charge you for recovery.
Renewal
Mac Hosts are billed monthly. You can renew manually before expiry or turn on auto-renew.
Auto-renew
- Find the instance in the Mac Host list and open "Renewal settings".
- Turn on auto-renew, choose the payment method (credit card or balance) and click "Save".
- The charge is made automatically 3 days before expiry. The list shows the next charge date.
Notes:
- If the 3-day charge window before expiry has already started, turning on auto-renew requires paying for one period first; auto-renew turns on after payment.
- If an automatic charge fails, the list shows a reminder to pay before expiry; pay manually before the expiry date.
- When paying from balance, make sure the balance is sufficient before the charge date.
- With auto-renew off, the service is not renewed at expiry.
Expiry and reclamation
- When a machine expires without renewal it stops serving and can no longer be renewed.
- After that, the machine is reclaimed and reset, and all data on it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
- VoyraCloud does not back up Mac Hosts. Back up your data before expiry, or turn on auto-renew in advance.
Refunds
A Mac Host is a dedicated special item and orders are non-refundable, including when the machine is unused, used for only part of the period, or when auto-renew is turned off during the service period. If an order cannot be delivered it is refunded in full; this does not affect your statutory rights under applicable law. See the Mac Host Service Agreement and Renewal, expiry & refunds.
